Emotive imagery for old souls

Weddings with heart - photography that feels like a memory

When you view my work, I want you to feel something.

Like an old song that brings you back to a specific moment in time, my photographs are meant to transport you — to the joy, the pride, the passion, the pain, the resilience, and above all, the love that surrounds your wedding day.

I’m Hayley, a Knoxville, Tennessee-based photographer with a deep love for storytelling, families, and the quiet in-between moments that so often go unnoticed. I specialize in weddings rooted in connection and meaning, with a special love for celebrating couples in the stunning beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

your Knoxville, tennessee based wedding and elopement photographer

My photography style is a blend of editorial and documentary — beautifully composed, artful imagery paired with raw, real emotion. I’ll guide you into the best light and composition when needed, but I’m also always watching for the spontaneous, heartfelt moments — the ones that can't be planned, only lived.

What sets my work apart is not just what you see, but how it feels.

With a background in social work, I bring empathy, intentionality, and deep respect to the way I document your day. Social work taught me how to truly listen, how to hold space for vulnerability, and how to recognize the quiet strength in human connection. Those values live at the heart of my work as a photographer. Your wedding isn’t just a celebration — it’s a story of where you’ve come from, who you’ve become, and who’s walked alongside you.

As a mom and a family-focused photographer, I naturally tune into the relationships that mean the most to you. I’m not just here for the romantic portraits (though we’ll get those, too). I’m here to capture your dad's teary smile, your grandma’s hands fixing your dress, the kids twirling on the dance floor, and your best friend’s inside jokes. These are the moments you’ll want to remember forever.

When we work together, I want our time to be more than just a photo session — I want it to be a fun and memorable experience. A celebration of love, of life, and of all the little details that make your story one-of-a-kind.

If you’re dreaming of a wedding gallery that feels as honest and alive as your love story — whether it’s in the heart of Knoxville or the breathtaking Smokies — I’d be honored to tell it for you.

Since I became a mother back in 2022, my perspective on life has completely changed. I'm a recovering work-a-holic, and, now, I really value slowing down and being present with my friends and family. Life is truly beautiful if you allow yourself to slow down enough to notice. Photography, for me, is a way of capturing life's fleeting moments.

THINK WE WOULD BE A good fit?

My ideal client

It is super important to me that we are a good fit for each other if I am going to photograph your wedding. Getting married to the love of your life is something you get to do once, and you want your third wheel for the day to be someone you genuinely connect with and trust. You’ll spend more time with your wedding photographer than any other vendor on your big day, so choose wisely.

You might be wondering what types of people I enjoy working with the most... so I’ll tell you in terms of the brides I tend to connect with.

My ideal client is a thoughtful, ambitious woman aged 25-35, who has big goals and dreams and a plan to pursue them. She is determined and values the balance of ambition and meaningful relationships. While she may be slightly introverted, she thrives in the company of her close-knit circle and feels renewed when surrounded by those who share her values.

She appreciates the beauty of slowing down to truly connect, enjoying deep and intentional conversations. Travel and cultural experiences are essential to her, enriching her perspective and grounding her. Confident in her relationship, she isn’t shy about expressing affection and celebrates the security and depth she shares with her partner.

While she values quality and enjoys the finer things, she remains humble, grounded, and focused on what truly matters. With a heart for family, whether it’s her own or her chosen family, she is loyal, empathetic, and lives with a commitment to treating others with respect and kindness. Nature, small moments, and everyday beauty resonate deeply with her.

Grounded in her faith in God, she embodies empathy, gratitude, and a respectful reverence for life.

"Hayley feels like a friend"

I was told by one of my bridesmaids that these were the best wedding pictures she’d ever seen.

Hayley was perfect! I loved our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures. I was told by one of my bridesmaids that these were the best wedding pictures she’d ever seen. Hayley feels like a friend instead of a stranger and for me that’s BIG. I couldn’t be more grateful for having her as our photographer.

"None of our pictures looked forced"

You made me and Drew feel so at ease.

It was not awkward whatsoever. You made me and Drew feel so at ease, and you made sure we posed correctly. None of our pictures looked forced. You helped us relax and look natural. I have received multiple compliments on how beautiful my pictures were. I will cherish them and that day forever.

Looks that kill

hosted by:
Hayley Howard & leah adcox

I have always been obsessed with true crime, horror, UFOs - you name it. I'm not sure what that says about me as a person, but I know I'm not alone. My friend Leah and I always used to talk about cases when we would hang out, and we finally decided to do the damn thing and start our own true crime podcast,  Looks That Kill. It is available on all major streaming platforms.
