There’s something timeless and romantic about a vineyard. Maybe it’s the gentle rows of grapevines stretching into the distance, or the way the golden light hits the leaves in late afternoon. Additionally, maybe it’s the stillness, the space to breathe, and the way nature and celebration meet in perfect harmony. Whatever it is, vineyard weddings in Tennessee have a certain magic about them. As a photographer, I can honestly say they are some of the most aesthetically stunning settings I’ve had the pleasure of capturing.
Whether you’re planning a full wedding day, an engagement session, or just looking for a beautiful place to share a glass of wine on a date night, local vineyards offer an experience that’s both elevated and down-to-earth. Today, I want to tell you about one of my favorite hidden gems just outside of Knoxville. It’s Spout Springs Winery in Blaine, Tennessee.
From a photographer’s perspective, vineyards offer the best of all worlds: open skies, rich greenery, soft golden light, and the kind of built-in charm that doesn’t require a lot of extra decor. There’s a natural elegance to the symmetry of the vines. When paired with rustic-modern touches, it creates a visual backdrop that is effortlessly romantic. Many Tennessee wineries are known for features like wood barrels, stone patios, and string lights.
One of my favorite things about shooting vineyard weddings is how versatile they are. Whether you’re going for a classic, black-tie affair or a laid-back boho celebration with barefoot dancing under the stars, the vineyard adapts. It’s suitable for morning ceremonies, golden hour portraits, or candlelit receptions. Every part of the day feels like it belongs.
And let’s be honest: the photos are next level. The depth, the color, the texture. Those sun-drenched vine rows make for jaw-dropping couple portraits. Wide shots of the ceremony nestled among the grapes feel like something out of a European destination. You’re right here in beautiful Tennessee.
One of the best parts about having access to local vineyards is that they’re not just reserved for weddings. I love when couples choose to do their engagement session at a vineyard. There’s something so cozy and intimate about walking through the vines with your person, wine glass in hand, stealing kisses between rows of grapes. It’s a great setting for photos that feel candid, romantic, and just a little bit luxurious.
Even if you’re not in wedding planning mode yet, a vineyard makes for a beautiful and relaxed date night. Picture this: you and your love, sipping local wine on a quiet patio, watching the sun dip behind the hills. Add a live music night or a picnic, and it becomes the kind of evening you’ll remember forever. These moments — these little, slow, meaningful pauses — are the ones I live to document.
Tucked away in the rolling hills of Blaine, Tennessee, just a short drive from Knoxville, is Spout Springs Winery & Vineyard. It’s not just beautiful — it’s personal.
My dad’s side of the family is from Grainger County. Thus, every time I drive out to Blaine, it feels like coming home. There’s something incredibly grounding about being in the foothills of East Tennessee, where the land holds generations of stories. Spout Springs Winery feels like an extension of that —peaceful, welcoming, and full of life.
The vineyard itself is surrounded by scenic views and quiet country charm. It has this calm presence to it— where the pace slows down and you’re reminded to just be. Whether you’re enjoying a glass of wine on their deck, listening to live music on the lawn, or walking hand-in-hand between the vines, it’s the kind of place that invites connection.
From a photography standpoint, Spout Springs has it all. It offers clean architectural lines, natural textures, and wide open skies. The vineyard rows catch the light just right. Also, the surrounding hills make for dreamy backdrops that feel both grand and intimate. Whether you’re planning a full wedding day or just a golden hour couples session, this spot is nothing short of magical.
As a Knoxville-based photographer, I’m always looking for ways to blend storytelling with setting — to bring out the heart of who you are in a space that feels like “you.” Vineyard weddings and sessions give me that opportunity in the most beautiful way. There’s just something about the atmosphere at a vineyard that allows people to be fully present and soak it all in. That’s when the most genuine, joy-filled photos happen.
I would be honored to photograph your love story at a vineyard. Whether it’s your wedding day, your engagement, or just a cozy session for the two of you. Let’s create something timeless together.
There’s a quiet kind of beauty to Tennessee vineyards. It’s in the way the wind moves through the vines, the way the light dances on a wine glass, and the way two people can feel like the only ones in the world in the middle of all that green. Whether it’s your wedding, your engagement, or just a date night that deserves to be remembered, a vineyard is the perfect place to capture it.
And if that vineyard happens to be Spout Springs Winery, you’ll not only have a stunning setting — you’ll also be stepping into a place that feels like home to me. I’d love to share it with you.
Here’s to love, wine, and golden hour in the vines.
Cheers,
Hayley
